Campsites and group accommodation

If you are looking for the ultimate camping adventure in North Stradbroke Island, explore our selection of North Stradbroke Island Camping accommodations. All campgrounds on North Stradbroke Island are managed by Minjerribah Camping, and there are a number of privately owned group accommodation options available.

Minjerribah Camping has several parks and foreshore camping grounds to choose from. Each ground has unique features and various accommodation options. All campsites are a short walk from the beach.

Some campsites are accessible by 4WD vehicles only, so if you decide to camp on the beach, remember a 4WD permit is necessary. 4WD permits are valid for one month or one year and can be purchased from Minjerribah Camping. It is recommended that you purchase your 4WD permit prior to arriving on the island. Driving is not permitted on the beach for at least an hour before and after high tide timing. Dogs are permitted at Flinders and Main beach campsites only, and both of these sites require 4WD access.

Tide Times

Driving is not permitted on the beach one hour either side of high tide. Beach driving rules are the same as when driving on a public road. Driving on sand is different to driving on hard surfaces.

You will need a 4WD vehicle. Be alert only travel at low tide times, stay on harder sand, do not drive or park in the water or the dunes, and slow down for other beach users and wildlife.

Before you drive on the beach make sure you have a 4WD permit, these can be purchased through Minjerribah Camping.
