BOOKING CONDITIONS
- To be eligible for this special offer you must book at least 3 consecutive nights at a participating accommodation property for the $30pp ferry fare or at least 4 consecutive nights at a participating accommodation property for the $20pp ferry fare. In the event that the minimum stay conditions for each offer are not met, for any reason, the special offers will no longer apply. Full payment of all components is required before transport will be provided.
- Accommodation, car hire and ferry travel is subject to availability
- Price will vary depending on accommodation selected.
- Vehicle price is based on a standard vehicle size which is no longer than 5 metres in length. If your vehicle is longer than 5m, an extra cost will be incurred, please enquire.
- One way or open dated travel is not permitted, you must be travelling on a return ferry basis ex Cape Jervis.
- No discount coupons or other special offers will apply or can be used in conjunction with this offer.
- Special offers valid for travel between Monday 12 May 2008 and Sunday 31 August 2008, inclusive. Return travel from Penneshaw must be completed by 31 August 2008.
General
- At the time of printing, all costs, details and ferry schedules were
correct, however, these can be subject to alteration, sometimes without notice.
No responsibility is accepted by Kangaroo Island SeaLink for misrepresentation,
unforseen omissions or additional costs incurred, including those arising
from adverse weather conditions. Refunds may not be available for unused
services. Insurance is highly recommended.
- Bookings, Deposits and Final Payments: To confirm a reservation a deposit
of 20% of the total fare is required within 14 days. Final payments must reach
SeaLink no later than 30 days prior to travel. For bookings made less than
30 days prior to travel, payment is required within 48 hours. For On Line bookings,
full payment is required at the time of booking.
- For On Line bookings made on our website, your itinerary is all the
confirmation you need to travel on your bookings. Check-in procedure requires
that you quote your booking number in order to collect your boarding pass.
Conditions of Ferry Passage
- Check-in time for ferry is to be a minimum of 30 minutes prior to departure.
Due to loading requirements, SeaLink reserves the right to refuse boarding
for vehicle check-in after this time.
- For the safety of all passengers, check-in procedures require that you
quote your booking number in order to collect your boarding pass. The Company
reserves the right to refuse travel if satisfactory identification cannot be
provided if requested.
- Length and height dimensions must be provided to Reservations staff
if length of any vehicle (including load and attachments) exceeds 5.0 metres
and height exceeds 2.3 metres.
- Drivers only permitted on the vehicle deck.
- Drivers must accept direction by SeaLink crew at all times during loading
and unloading.
- Smoking is prohibited on the vessel at all times.
- Travel may only be permitted for a person or persons whose name(s) appear
on the SeaLink manifests. Travel arrangements may only be transferred to another
person(s) with the knowledge and authority of the Company.
- SeaLink reserves the right to refuse to carry any person or cargo aboard
any Company vessel or vehicle where the Company deems that person or cargo
to be undesirable, unsuitable or dangerous.
- Flammable liquids in portable containers will not be carried
- If you are traveling on a 'Spirit of Kangaroo Island' service you may
be traveling with freight, which could include livestock or fuel. For more
information, please contact SeaLink on 13 13 01.
- Please note if your booking includes a 'SeaLink Saver' fare, any alterations
to traveling times may result in you being required to pay difference in fares.
Conditions of Travel & Booking
- In these conditions "the Company" means Kangaroo Island SeaLink, its servants
and agents and "the
passenger" means the passenger booked to travel. Travel must be completed within
12 months of payment. These conditions shall be governed by and construed in
accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia and any Australian
State.
- The Company reserves the right to cancel, vary this service in
any way, or substitute any ferry or other means of transport without incurring
any liability.
- Fares, times, schedules and routes are subject to alteration, without
prior notice, at the discretion of the Company
- The Company shall not be liable for any loss or damage which may arise
in the event of cancellation of this service or the abandonment of the service
during the course thereof (should the Company or any of its servants or agents
decide that such abandonment is necessary) or of any deviation or delay in
any service arising from any cause whatsoever. In any such event the Company
will not be liable in any way for consequential damage including, but not limited
to, the cost of accommodation or for any alternative means of travel which
may arise and any additional expense so arising shall be the liability of the
passenger.
- The Company reserves the right, in the event of any booking being cancelled
by a passenger, to charge a cancellation fee. The following scale of fees is
the maximum fee applying to cancelled bookings.
- Cancellations prior to 30 days before departure - $50 per person.
- Cancellations between 30 and 7 days before departure - 50% of total
cost.
- Cancellations received less than 7 days before departure - 80% of total
cost.
- Cancellations on the day of departure - no refund.
- Travel Insurance is inexpensive and highly recommended. Your Travel
Agent or Kangaroo Island SeaLink Reservations can advise you and provide adequate
cover. Holiday plans can be disrupted and cancellation fees expensive. Please
think carefully about insurance.
- The Company accepts no responsibility for loss of, or damage to, any
vehicle being carried for the passenger, or luggage, or for consequential damages
arising there-from whether sustained during off-loading or transportation,
and whether arising from negligence, malfunction of the vessel or other cause,
except to the extent that the exclusion of such liability is prohibited by
law.
- The Company accepts no responsibility for any injury and/or death of
a passenger travelling on this service whether caused by negligence, malfunction
to the vessel or other cause except to the extent that exclusion of such liability
is prohibited by law.
- Kangaroo Island is a Ligurian Bee Sanctuary. Importing honey, pollen
or other bee products is prohibited. A fine of up to $10,000 may apply.
